Branche Berrichonne LORILLON – LAURION - France

Nathalie LAURION descending to the 11th Generation

by René LORILLON (~ 1610 - <1663) and Janne MINAUD (~ 1610 - <1663)

My great-great-grandfather Eugène LAURION was born on 03/04/1868 in Genouilly (18-Cher) and is the son of Jacques LORILLON (1829-1903) and Jeanne MULOT (1836-1893).

He worked in 1891 as a carter for Emile TOURNAY in Maray at a place called Dalluet (41 - Loir et Cher).

It is probably there that he meets his future wife, Catherine THOMAS.

Born in Romorantin on 12/21/1866, she has also worked for Emile TOURNAY in Dalluet since 1886 as a servant.

In 1888, she had a son, Henri THOMAS, born to in Saint-Loup (Loir et Cher - 41).

Eugène and Catherine were married in Saint-Loup on 05/15/1893. By this marriage, Eugène (father) recognizes Catherine’son, as his own son.

From 1893 to 1902, the couple gave birth to 4 children. Eugène (son), Mathilde, Renée and Joseph.

Renée LAURION (1898 - 1969) left to live near Montreuil (93 - Seine Saint-Denis) where she married with René PLAS.

Joseph LAURION (1902 - 1926) chooses the profession of mechanic. He never married because unfortunately he died at his 24th birthday from tuberculosis.

And my great aunt, Mathilde LAURION (1894 - 1991) married Jean-Maurice LACROIX in 1918.

First a domestic, she then worked as a hotel worker and ended her career at Plaza Athénée, Montaigne Avenue in Paris 8th (75) before returning to Maray (41 - Loir et Cher) in the early 1950s.

She was the one who gave me the genealogy virus!

Nathalie and Mathilde - 1979

Mathilde and Jean are the parents of Suzanne (1919 - 2013) and Pierre (1922 - 1996).

Suzanne LACROIX, chooses the profession of hotel worker like her mother before.

Become a butcher, Pierre LACROIX married Paulette MARTIN in 1944.

My great-grandfather, Eugène (son) LAURION was born in 1893 in Saint-Loup (41- Loir et Cher) and died in 1956 in Saint-Outrille (18- Cher).

Eugène (son) was a carter by profession. He married on 06/26/1922 in Bagneux (36 - Indre) Mélanie CHERRIER (1896 - 1975) daughter of Henri CHERRIER (1869 - 1963) and Léontine TROCHOUX (1870 - 1961).

During the First World War, Eugene (son) served in the army.

He was incorporated on November 27, 1913 as a 2nd class soldier in the 45th RAC (Field Artillery Regiment).

Eugène (Son)

He was appointed soldier 1st class and 1st driver gunner in 1916.

A driver gunner in the Field Artillery is an "employee" in the driving and care of the team horses to transport the gun batteries. Commonly called in French military slang “trainglot”.

He is released from the army on September 3, 1919 and goes back to his parents in Dalluet - Maray (41 - Loir et Cher).

From the mariage in 1922 of Eugène (son) and Mélanie CHERRIER were born 2 daughters: Raymonde (1923 - 2020) and Suzanne (1929).

Raymonde LAURION, my grandmother, has almost always lived in

Saint-Outrille.

Raymonde LAURION in communion - 1935

A seamstress by profession, she gave birth to her son Jean-François (my father) in 1944.

Then she “goes up to Paris” to work as a waitress for M. Roger GUILPAIN at “Clos-Joly”, a restaurant and a guesthouse in Chatillon-sous-Bagneux (92 - Hauts de Seine).

She was then business manager in Viroflay (78- Yvelines) of a children's ready-to-wear store called “Au Bonheur de Sophie” until her retirement at the end of the 1980s. She was deputy mayor in Saint-Outrille for many years and was also very active in many local associations.

Jean-François married Régine BOUCKNOOGHE in Paris and had 2 children, Bruno and me.

Both retired, Jean-François and Régine still practice their passion: harmonica and piano.

For those who have had the chance to listen to them are conquered (dixit Marie!) by their beautiful melody.

Their musical group is called "
Duo Intermezzo" and they perform regularly in concert.

Thanks to my aunt Mathilde, I have always been passionate about genealogy and History in general.

I wish, as much as possible, to honor our ancestors through research and historical accounts.

So, I wrote a booklet on François LORILLON (1784 – 1842). Grandfather of Eugène Père LAURION) and soldier of Napoleon 1st.

Ainsi j’ai écrit un
petit livret sur François LORILLON (1784 – 1842). Grand-père d’Eugène père LAURION) et grognard de Napoléon 1er.

During a heritage day in 2016, I was a guide-speaker to show the Champmartin mill (Avexy - Graçay 18 - Cher) where 4 generations of LORILLON lived between 1716 and 1809.

In the early 1990s, I set out to look for cousins and it was Gilles LORILLON, descendant of the Yonnaise branch of LORILLON, who gave me the idea to make research on the whole world.

I thus got to know Marie LAURION, Antonio DI-LALLA, Janet KRAMER, Donna RIDER….

Without having proof of a blood tie that unites us all, we are cousins at heart.
